Channel Update - April 2018

Hey Guys, Joel here for RunawayRobot.

I've been meaning to make one of these update posts for a while and I'm finally getting to it.

If you haven't noticed, the YouTube side of my content has been pretty stagnant.
It's mostly Dungeons and Dragons and pieces of stream recordings, not really the type of content that I built this channel around.

For those of you that come to this channel and don't know already, I've been streaming on Twitch for the last 6 months and have found it an immensely rewarding experience.

The community we've built there is supportive, growing, and really a lot of fun.
I've been able to become a Twitch Affiliate and am looking forward to the day I can call myself a Twitch Partner.

Currently, with how my life and work schedule works, streaming is an accessible and more interactive way for me to continue making the content I like as well as entertaining people, without taking huge amounts of editing and uploading time.

The ability I have on Twitch to interact with you, the people who actually watch what I do, Live and in real time is incredibly rewarding.

This all being said, I still feel the pull to create content for YouTube, despite the trend YouTube has had over pushing smaller creators to the side.

Does this mean a return to Let's Play type content to the channel?

No, not in the foreseeable future, though that is DEFINITELY something I'd like to strive for if this whole "thing" ever takes off.

Expect the Dungeons and Dragons show videos to continue with some Game Master prep/tips videos appearing more often and I'm hoping to add in the near future, compressed versions of streams in the form of highlights, or compilations, not the full stream just dumped to YouTube.

I'm going to continue streaming on Twitch as much as I physically can, and I'd love if you ALL join me there.

Follow RunawayRobot_ on Twitch.tv, and if you have one, follow me on twitter @RunawayRobotYT for streaming schedule, updates, and nonsense.

Included in all of this is a resurrection of the website, RunawayRobot.tv, where a transcript of this video will be posted in a blog update.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below. I'm more than happy to talk about what's next!
